The Children's Miracle Network Telethon 2007
Working the phone bank was a wonderful experience. The telethon raised over $1,650,000. During the two hours the Miss Tennessee contestants worked the phone bank we raised over $15,000.
Thank you!

Benefit Concert 2007

Bradford, my brother, and I prior to concert. We sold "Chester's Helping Paws" at the end of the concert.
The concert was free, but donations were accepted.
Here is the donation table along with information regarding
Children's Miracle Network.
In 2007, I wrote and published a book titled "Chester's Helping Paws" that encourages young children to be helpers and then as they grow older become "volunteers." A portion of the proceeds of this book are being donated to the Children's Miracle Network (CMN) and Children's Miracle Network contact information is placed in the book. CMN is promoted at each of the book signings and promotions. Monroe Carrell, Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, LeBonheur Children's Hospital, and Ayers Children's Medical Center at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital each received a donated copy of the book. The book has also been donated to several local libraries. "Good Morning West Tennessee" on WBBJ-TV and "Six in the City" on EPlus Broadband have given me the opportunity to display my book while promoting CMN to a much broader audience.
Another medthod I use to raise money is to make jewelry and sell it on my college campus. I set up a booth where my jewelry could be displayed. As I advertised the sale of the jewelry, I promoted CMN while encouraging others to get involved. All the profits are going to CMN.
"Volunteerism" is my personal platform and this website has been developed to encourage individuals of all ages to volunteer. This website also shares informtion regarding CMN.
A concert was held on Saturday evening, June 2, 2007 where I promoted CMN. I was the featured soloist and while concert admission was free, donations were accepted and 100% was given to CMN.
I had a wonderful experience working the telephone bank soliciting donations at Monroe Carrell, Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt for CMN in June 2007.
I desire to continue to involve myself with CMN as even more opportunities arise. I will continue to raise money through my book, jewelry sales, and through any other means made available.

A donation box for the "Children's Miracle Network" was placed in a local business. During Easter, we also placed a basket with chocolates as a small thank you for their donations.
As Miss Milan No-Till 2007, I worked with the Milan Auxilliary. Each year they conduct an Easter Egg Hunt for children. Here I am stuffing 300 Easter eggs with chocolate.
Stuff one....Eat one...Stuff one...Eat one...Stuff...You know how it goes!

As Miss Milan No-Till, I was asked to be the Master of Ceremonies for the Milan High School Band Fundraiser . It was an enjoyable evening!
City of Milan Christmas Parade 2006

This was so much fun!
Prior to and after the Christmas Parade I sold baked goods as a fundraiser to the Milan Middle School to purchase dissection frogs.

Thank you so much to the Miss Madison County Board for making my first year at Miss Tennessee a most memorable one! It was very difficult to give up this title. Tommy Climer, Director, and board members, Marie Bland, Mary Towater, and Jill Bland have continued to be faithful friends to me.
